In a new ranking by Investopedia of financial technology and automated investing services, Interactive Advisors was chosen as the best robo-advisor for portfolio construction and sustainable investing.

Interactive Advisors, a service offered by the Interactive Brokers Group (IBKR), received a 4.5 out of 5-star score for overall service.

Interactive Advisors  received a 5 out of 5 stars for portfolio construction and Investopedia noted that:

“Interactive Advisors wins our award for Best for Portfolio Construction in 2020 because it offers a vast range of asset classes that can be used to build a portfolio. Most portfolios contain fractional shares of up to 300 individual stocks. There are also portfolios made up of ETFs from Vanguard, Wisdom Tree, Legg Mason, State Street, and others. Other portfolios follow certain market sectors, including real estate, consumer discretionary spending, and utilities, allowing investors to take sector positions, which is something not many robo-advisories offer. You can also invest in a general global portfolio that includes equities and fixed income from across the globe.”

“You can choose socially responsible portfolios from among the offerings or find the appropriate exclusion group to avoid companies that do not share your values, as well as single stock exclusions that automatically apply to all your investments.”

In its 2020 review of online investing platforms, Investopedia analyzed more than 20 robo-advisors, evaluating their user experience, goal-setting capabilities, portfolio construction, costs and fees, security, mobile experience, and customer service.
