Covestor Radio: How to avoid financial scams

Kimberly-Clouse-covestor

It’s time for our latest installment of Covestor Radio, a show about money milestones and investing for your future.

In the latest show, Kimberly Clouse, Private Client Advocate and Chair of Covestor’s Advisory Board, discusses financial scams like Bernie Madoff’s infamous Ponzi scheme, and how to avoid them.

The Financial Fraud Research Center estimates that financial fraud costs Americans over $50 billion a year, and that more than 30 million consumers are defrauded each year.

Clouse also talks about warning signs of financial scams, such as investments that promise or guarantee big returns with no risk, and salespeople that pressure you to invest now.
