A personal note first. On Thurs, June 28th, my wife got a partial knee replacement at The Hospital for Special Surgery.

She got out of the hospital on Saturday evening, and walked up to the third floor of our house. She only took strong pain killers for three days, and now, one week later, walks three or four blocks and goes up and down our stairs without assistance. She has some pain, but that will subside and the new knee works great.

I have been helping her, so have less to say about the market than normal.

The market is still brutal. We got a nice relief rally with good European news. I thought we had a good chance for a significant rally after the midweek July 4th, but no such luck.

I believe that stocks are incredibly cheap. I concentrate in small cap, technology stocks, but the rally will probably start with the high quality, dividend paying stocks.

Rallies usually start when the market is most downtrodden.

We are getting to that state.

Have a nice summer.
