Covestor model: Tactical and Opportunistic
Earnings came out for Frontier Communications FTR on February 16, and the company reduced its dividend down to $0 .10 per share, helping them reduce debt, improve leverage and to put cash towards investing in their network. The market agreed with this move and FTR bonds and share price went up after earnings. FTR is still in a transition period from acquiring lines from Verizon (VZ) and is now in a better position after the dividend cut.
We will receive dividends from Microsoft (MSFT) on 3/8/12. And I’m planning to sell part of our position off soon as MSFT hovers near the 52 week high. I plan to continue holding our other positions in American Capital Agency Corp. (AGNC) and Invesco Mortgage (IVR).
