This week we’re going to look at some managers who’ve been on Covestor for a few months now, but who haven’t been highlighted on Covestor Live yet.
Suncoast Equity was added to the Covestor roster in May. The company was founded in 1997 by former Polen Capital portfolio manager Donald Jowdy. Donald has a long history in finance, having also worked with 13D Research as an equity analyst and as a Senior Associate with Price Waterhouse and Coopers. His model, Suncoast Equity attempts to invest in companies of high quality that deliver above average returns on equity and that have below average debt. The model has a $10,000 subscription minimum and its top holding is Berkshire Hathaway Inc (NYSE: BRKB).
Harloff Capital was founded by Gary Harloff. Gary is a full time portfolio manager with a Ph.D in Aerospace Engineering. He is also an author, and has recently published a book entitled, Active Investing Wealth Management for High Net Worth Individuals. His model with Covestor, Opportunistic ETF, tracks ETF price movements and momentum and allocates assets across multiple sectors and classes depending on market conditions. The model has a $25,000 subscription minimum and its top holding is Telecomunicacoes Brasileiras SA TELEBRAS (NYSE: TBH).
Finally, we have Leonard Fox, a Regis University graduate who worked for AT&T for 25 years. After he retired, he became a full-time trader and then founded Scarecrow Trading, a company that provides investing services to individual investors. His Covestor model is also called Scarecrow Trading and it is focused on trading ETFs with a beta of 2. It has a subscription minimum of $10,000 and the top position is ProShares Ultra QQQ ETF (QLD).
